vRealize Operations 6 – Adding your vCenter

Resuming the previous post , after an express vRealize setup it’s time to link our vCenter. It might be a bit confusing at first, specially when you got used to managing vCOPS for a long time.

Select Solutions tab and click properties for the current VMware vSphere product.

Then write a name and description, type your vCenter’s name or IP address

.. and add new credentials to log in there.

After validating its session and certificate you’ll get an additional screen where to configure some express settings about the collector.

After a depicted schema you can press finish …

And … OLÉ !  Now this look more familiar to you, doesn’t it? 😉

It won’t take long start gathering information and refresh the counters, but leave it alone for a while and get back to enjoy it.
